North West Galician Coast is well known for its incredible beaches. Laxe has recently been declared Touristic Interesting Region. This town keeps its traditional charm with straight streets and houses built with galleries looking over the sea.
Laxe has its name due to a special type of stones and big rocks that are typical from Galicia. The best example are "Os Penedos de Traba and Pasarela” located between Laxe, Vimianzo and Torre de Moa.
This is a magic place where we can point out four main hills: Pena dos Mouros, Pena de Forcada, O Castelo and Torre de Moa that is considered by the historians as the place where important celtic and romanic sacrifices took place. Actually, these are rock structures whose shapes are made by erosion. Adding to that the sunset light creates the perfect mysterious atmosphere where legends are made.
